Villa Raphael

Villa Raphael was opened in 2016 and is a very special Ayurveda resort and a dream come true of the Swiss artist and owner Roland Raphael. Located in Bentota just 1.5 hours from the airport in Colombo, this delightful villa offers the discerning guest peace and quiet as well as privacy.

The main building of the Ayurveda Resort offers a lot of space for only a few guests. So only eight generously designed and luxurious rooms are available, which are located in the main building as well as in the Ayurveda Center. This guarantees absolute privacy. The large garden invites you to linger, even at night with artful lighting and scenery. At the 20-meter-long swimming pool with massage jets (by pressing a button), sun loungers are available. Resting under palm trees you can enjoy an absolute peaceful atmosphere.

The facility is located directly on a protected lake. A jetty takes you to the lake-lounge, which is at guests disposal, whether for dinner or for the evening enjoyment of the breathtaking sunset.

The carefully assembled team around an English-speaking manager cares about your well-being round the clock and during the winter months the owner is your direct contact person. Let yourself be pampered and enjoy being taken care of.

The experienced and professional couple of Ayurvedic physicians puts together an individual health program for each spa guest personally. The trained therapists treat you in one of the three treatment rooms in the in-house Ayurveda Center according to the best quality standards. The treatment includes doctor consultations three times a week.

On request, the traditional Ayurvedic therapies are accompanied by an experienced yoga and meditation teacher. The 5 yoga sessions per week take place in the covered, yet open temple in the garden.

In the small Ayurvedic restaurant, the four-star chef spoils you with individually prepared ayurvedic dishes for each guest. For partners who do not want to take a cure, continental cuisine is also offered.

In the modern fitness center, you can exercise physically. There are also bicycles and a canoe available for free use. Bentotas famous sandy beach is a 5-minute drive away. For a fee, a shuttle is offered (5 euros with the Tuktuk, or 10 euros by car back and forth).

Private trips can be booked with a licensed travel guide, who leads you with his comfortable van to the most beautiful places of Sri Lanka. For the main season, pre-bookings, especially for multi-day trips are recommended.

WiFi is available free of charge throughout the resort.
