The Travancore Heritage

After 40-minute drive from the airport in a southwesterly direction you will reach the Travancore Heritage Resort situated majestically on a cliff, overlooking the endless, fine sandy beach of Chowara in Kerala, India. A short walk will lead you to the beach, or you can also use the hotel`s lift. On the beach there are deck chairs, umbrellas, towels and showers available. Listen to the surf, the laughter of the people and relax in the shade of beach-Bistro – enjoy the beauty of the moment.

Surrounded by a flourishing exotic coconut grove, with its tile-roofed Kerala-houses (Nalukettus) a unique, welcoming atmosphere will greet you. An inviting swimming pool, bright, spacious lounges, a restaurant serving South Indian and Ayurvedic dishes and the sprawling, lush gardens exude generosity and individuality. The 22 Heritage Premium Bungalows and 15 premium Mansions with sea views and 23 Heritage-home bungalows with garden views are very spacious built in the traditional Kerala style. Equipped with cozy sitting areas, patios with open bath / shower / toilet, air conditioning, ceiling fan, TV, minibar, telephone, tea and kettle, and terrace. Four luxurious premium Junior Suites offer additional a living area and a balcony with stunning sea views. All rooms are furnished with authentic South Indian furniture and antiques.

The Ayurvedic center of Travancore Heritage offers traditional Ayurvedic treatments in a harmonious atmosphere. 20 treatment rooms, steam and herbal baths, as well as a yoga-room are available. A qualified team of 4 doctors, 24 therapists and a German translator ensure individual advice and support. The Ayurveda treatment includes all the classic elements of a Panchakarma cleansing and rejuvenating cure. In addition to a variety of massages and healing treatments the program includes yoga and an individual Ayurvedic diet concept.

The 90 air-conditioned rooms (cottages and standard rooms) are equipped with bath, shower (partly open-air shower), toilet, TV, telephone, fan, minibar and kettle.

Heritage Home Rooms (A/C)
The chalets of Heritage Home Rooms are divided into 2-7 residential units and built in a traditional style. Most rooms have a balcony or terrace (some communal use) and offer views of the garden.

Heritage Premium Rooms (A/C)
The Heritage Premium Rooms are located in stand-alone bungalows or in bungalows with two residential units and have their own terrace overlooking the sea.

Premium Mansion (A/C)
The spacious Premium Mansion rooms offer balcony or terrace, with the best sea view of the whole resort.

Premium Suiten (A/C)
The premium suites are slightly larger than the Mansion rooms due to the living room. They also offer the most beautiful ocean views throughout the resort.

Pool Mansions (A/C)
The Pool Mansion rooms have a big living room and a courtyard with private plunge pool.

Beach Grove (A/C)
These modern rooms are located at the foot of the cliff (accessible by elevator) and offer a terrace or balcony. A pool and a restaurant are available for guests in the lower part of the resort. These rooms are usually not used for guests on Ayurvedic treatments.
