The Surya Lanka Ayurveda Beach Resort is located on the southern tip of Sri Lanka, close to Talalla and surrounded by coconut plantations on one of the most beautiful bays on the island. Three to four hours drive from Colombo, the Ayurveda Resort welcomes you with a paradise like flowering garden with a relaxed and tranquil atmosphere right on the ocean. The long, untouched sand beach invites you to extended walks. This oasis of peace is one of the renown Ayurveda resorts in Sri Lanka.

This Ayurveda resort was conceived as such from the beginning and is designed in the style of a Portuguese colonial villa. There are a total of 35 spacious rooms in 5 two-storey colonial houses – all of them just recently refurbished. All rooms are simple, tastefully and comfortably furnished. In any case, you will always enjoy a view of the tropical garden. Air conditioning, minibar and TV have been deliberately dispensed with to make your cure easier. In the restaurant, the chef will pamper you every day with his delicious Ayurvedic creations. You will take your meals under the open air, in harmony with the Ayurvedic doctrine, and will feel how Ayurvedic food strengthens the body and mind. For guests with specific illnesses / diets, individual concepts are also prepared and, if desired, supplemented with European food.

Indulge in the inviting freshwater swimming pool or one of the comfortable wooden chairs around the it or on the porch. Through the garden, a private access leads directly to the long, white sand beach. Here you can also have a dip in the Indian Ocean.

The Surya Lanka Ayurveda Beach Resort offers authentic treatments tailored to the European physique for your Ayurveda trip. In the Ayurveda center of the resort you will find a professional and experienced team of doctors and therapists who have already achieved numerous impressive health successes. All doctors are university graduates with years of practical national and international experience. This way they are able to carefully combine the knowledge from Western medicine with the wisdom of Ayurveda in order to guarantee optimal health results. There is also a translator for the consultations with the doctor available.

In this Ayurveda Resort, you have the option to choose between different levels of intensity for your Ayurveda cure: a healing, intensive or light option. In any case, a detailed first consultation with the Ayurveda physician takes place on your arrival day to determine your constitutional type and then build your treatment and nutrition plan upon it. In order to support the holistic effect of Ayurveda, almost daily yoga and meditation are offered.

A Panchakarma at Surya Lanka Ayurveda Beach Resort is not to be misunderstood as a beach holiday with Ayurveda treatments, rather it is aimed at guests who are looking for a holistic approach to their constitution. Depending on your travel period and your personal preferences, you can choose from the following Ayurveda programs:

Panchakarma-Light
The main goals of each Ayurveda program are prevention, maintenance and enhancement of physical health as well as inner balance. In the case of the light variant, restlessness can be compensated, stress can be reduced, or the own strength can be promoted. Of course, it also appeals to guests, who you have only recently made an intensive detoxification.

Panchakarma-Intensive
This program is a comprehensive detoxification. As the ultimate goal, the organism regenerates itself, chronic diseases can be grabbed at the root and your self-healing forces can be activated. For this intensive variation a stay of at least 13 days is recommended.

Panchakarma-Healing
The healing variant is ideally suited to alleviate specific health problems. These include, for example, low or high blood pressure, migraine, digestive or sleep disorders, gout, arthritis, diabetes, overweight or underweight, chronic fatigue, metabolic disorders, neurodermitis, allergies, scars, asthma, and regeneration after chemotherapy, stroke, disease of the eye or internal organ loads. During this Panchakarma, the doctor performs supplementary therapies specially adapted to individual symptoms. For such a cure, a minimum stay of 20 days is recommended.
