Sithnara Ayurveda Resort

Discover a special place amidst lush nature and close to a wonderful coral reef on the southern tip of Sri Lanka: the Sithnara Ayurveda Resort. Located near Mirissa, directly on the Indian Ocean, you will reach this small, personally run Ayurveda Resort after about 3 hours transfer from the airport in Colombo and will be met with a warm welcome.

In the main building of the Sithnara Ayurveda Resort, which was inaugurated according to local customs, there are just 11 guest rooms, which of course allows a high level of peace and personal service. The planning and construction of the Ayurveda resort focused on sustainability and locally produced materials.

Between temple plants and coconut palms you will find shady spots to relax and unwind in the enchanting garden. Enjoy comfortable loungers by the pool or stroll along the beach. After about 10 minutes you reach a bay with fine sand suitable for swimming in the ocean.

The on-site intensive Ayurveda treatment is carried out by two very experienced Ayurveda doctors, supported by a professional team of therapists, and adapted to your individual needs in order to best promote your health. The treatments and therapies take place on the top floor of the Ayurveda Resort in the in-house Ayurveda area. From there you can also enjoy a wonderful view of the Indian Ocean. To strengthen the positive effects of the Ayurveda cure, there are also daily yoga classes with a very impressive sea view.

The open-air Ayurveda Restaurant offers daily freshly prepared and dosha-adjusted dishes, which are served in menu form. The local ingredients are carefully selected, if possible of organic ones, or even of the in-house plantation. This plantation can also be visited on request.

The 11 purist and tastefully furnished rooms captivate you with their floor-to-ceiling windows, which allow the sun to immerse the whole room in bright light. The private balcony overlooks the Indian Ocean and you can admire the stars at night. Further features include: tadelakt floor (Moroccan lime plaster), a walk-in rain shower, lovely floral arrangements and decorative pillows that invite you to linger. You benefit also from both fans and air conditioning.
