Sitaram Ayurveda Beach Retreat

The Sitaram Ayurveda Beach Retreat is set amidst an exotic natural landscape, just off the long Nattika beach, which invites you to take a walk. You can reach this authentic Ayurveda resort after about 2 hours drive from the airport in Cochin. It offers the ideal retreat for your Ayurveda cure including yoga and allows you to come to rest and reconcile your body, soul and spirit.

All 9 bungalows of the well-kept complex are facing the sea and are divided into the newly renovated luxury double bungalows (Kuttiram) or the wooden double bungalows in traditional style (Aalayam). All 18 cottage rooms were renovated from the ground up in 2016 and are generously sized (35 square meters). They have a charming decor, which consists of high-quality wooden furniture, air conditioning and ceiling fan as well as a terrace and views over the garden to the sea. There is also an open shower area in addition to a bathroom.

Experience traditional and authentic Ayurveda under the supervision of Dr. Vignesh Devraj and the support of other experienced doctors. Dr. Devraj originates from a family that has practiced Ayurveda for 90 years, and so the knowledge and experience has been passed on over generations. The doctors decide on the course of treatment after the initial consultation, keep regular consultations with you and make sure of the results of your therapies.

The special feature of the Sitaram Ayurveda Beach Retreat is that, on request and depending on your constitution, all 5 phases of a Panchakarma cure are actually performed. The personalized Ayurvedic cures are supplemented by yoga sessions, including laughter yoga, meditation and a healthy ayurvedic cuisine. In the restaurant serves vegetarian and easily digestible meals which are prepared in agreement with the doctors. Special attention is paid to fresh, untreated and biological products from the surrounding area.

In addition to yoga and meditation, you can also attend lectures on Ayurveda, explore the neighborhood by bike, or immerse yourself in the books of the resort library. Relax at the natural pool of the Ayurveda Resort, inspired by a temple pond, or unwind in one of the hammocks. Sitaram Ayurveda Beach Retreat also offers cooking classes or organizes houseboat trips to the backwaters on request. Wi-Fi is available at reception.
