The Ayurveda Guesthouse & Resort Bogenvillya welcomes you with a very personal atmosphere on the kilometer-long sandy beach of Ahungalla. It is only a 2-hour transfer from Colombo Airport. Built in a European-Sinhala style, the complex extends over a spacious tropical garden with flowering bougainvillea trees and is crossed by a lagoon. The Ayurveda Resort is also part of the One World Foundation, which is dedicated to providing the Sri Lankan population with uncomplicated access to education. This way each stay of a guest will contribute to the school of the Free Education School, as the income from the Ayurveda Guesthouse & Resort Bogenvillya will finance the school in Ahungalla, thus providing a sustainable investment in the host country.

The tropical area consists of a variety of individually designed and private living areas (main building and adjacent bungalows), common lounges, Ayurveda therapies and an undisturbed place for yoga and meditation. The well-kept freshwater swimming pool (12 x 18m), embedded in lush vegetation, can be used day and night thanks to underwater lighting. After you have walked over a small bridge over the lagoon, you will also reach the Ayurveda Resorts own sea access.

The Ayurveda Guesthouse & Resort Bogenvillya offers personalized Ayurvedic treatments in a relaxed environment. Dr. Janakee Perera, a senior physician who has been practicing for more than twenty years, will start with her initial consultation. This includes a pulse diagnosis and a detailed diagnostic talk to determine your doshas. Afterwards, you will decide upon the appropriate treatment period, the type of treatments and a meal plan together. In addition to the consultations and diagnosis of Dr. Perera you will be pampered by the trained therapist team, who will provide you with head, facial, body, synchronous and rice ball massages as well as shirodara (oil massage), steam and flower baths, etc…

Choose an Ayurvedic Spa Rasayana (Rejuvenation) program, which is designed to support and improve your physical and emotional well-being through individually tailored Ayurveda treatments and compliance with nutritional rules. This variant of the cure can be applied from a few days to several weeks, depending on your personal constitution. Or decide to do an individually tailored detoxification program – Panchakarma – under the supervision of the doctor and her team of therapists. For such a cure, a period of at least two weeks, better three weeks is recommended and is accompanied by regular consultations with the doctor.

Enjoy an open yoga session, guided by yoga instructor Mr. Nuwan Dilanka de Silva, every morning from 07.00 to 08.00am, in the tropical garden of the Ayurveda Resort overlooking the lagoon and open sea. When there is rain, the lessons are transferred to a covered building.

The 13 modern and stylishly furnished rooms (standard, superior and gardenloft) are fitted with hot water, shower, WC, WLAN and a private dining area. They are lovingly furnished and offer individual living comfort.

The two-storey main house is equipped with terraces, a loggia and a salon with library and accommodates 3 of the standard rooms. Enjoy a wonderful view of the palm garden from the terraces or retire to the peace and quiet. In addition, the main house, which also bears the name Bogenvillya, offers a stylish ambience for the meals taken together, which consist of local, mostly ayurvedic dishes.

In addition to the main house, you will find the one-storey-bungalow, which houses a standard room on the ground floor and a more spacious superior room on the upper floor. It has a private courtyard and is particularly suitable for families with children.

Situated directly on the lagoon is a bungalow with three simple transparent accommodation units: two standard rooms and a superior room with direct sea view. Each room has its own terrace.

The Gardenloft is extremely generously cut and offers a space of 140 square meters. The large comfortable and open living area also has a private terrace with access to the palm garden.

After walking across a small bridge across the lagoon, you will reach the Ayurveda Resorts own sea access and the palm grove-bungalow which comprises two spacious, transparent units with a beautiful view of the flora and fauna of the complex.

Surrounded by palm trees and Araliya trees is the recently built Araliya Bungalow with two standard and two more spacious superior rooms. The rooms are equipped with sliding teak wood elements and are therefore also ideal for a small group or a family.
