Designed as the flagship of the Somatheeram Group, AyurSoma – the newest of its Ayurveda Resorts – welcomes you below the very well-known sister hotel Somatheeram Ayurveda Resort directly on the beach of Kovalam in India. After a transfer of only 30 – 40 minutes from Trivandrum Airport you will reach this very special Ayurveda Resort, which opened in January 2020. The trademark – an imposing clock tower – can be seen from afar and the mixture of traditional Ayurveda, modern amenities and impressive surroundings offer you a wonderful backdrop for your Ayurveda cure including yoga.

With an elevator that connects the AyurSoma with the Somatheeram Ayurveda Resort, you can reach the facility, which combines palace and temple architecture with a focus on the building materials wood and stone. The furnishing of the 64 rooms captivates with loving details and antique craftsmanship and yet offers modern comfort. A special highlight are the Spanish special bathtubs, which are particularly suitable for Ayurvedic herbal baths. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired: in addition to the bathroom and toilet, you will also find ceiling fans and air conditioning systems as well as TVs, telephones, safes and WiFi. Each of the rooms has a balcony or terrace. The pool offers a beautiful view of the sea and umbrellas, loungers and beach towels are available for you on the beach.

The Ayurveda team consists of approx. 15 qualified and experienced doctors and approx. 60 therapists and takes care of you individually during your Ayurveda treatment. There are 20 treatment rooms available for professional Ayurveda treatments, some of which are open. If necessary, a German-speaking translator can be consulted for the consultations. Ayurvedic medicine is largely manufactured in-house and has been awarded the GMP (good manufacturing practice) certificate. Accompanying your Ayurveda cure, yoga and meditation are of course offered in the AyuSoma, for which 3 halls – 1 of them open air – are available with a view of the sea.

In the two restaurants of the Ayurveda Resort you can enjoy delicious dishes from the buffet, which are prepared from vegetarian ingredients and fitting the three Doshas. Chicken and fish are occasionally added to the menu on the doctor’s recommendation.

Other facilities at the Ayurveda Resort include an Ayurveda Beauty Clinic, a fitness center in the basement, a souvenir shop, a tailor shop and an internet cafe. In the evening there are cultural and dance events and the hotel team can also help you plan excursions.
