Ayurvie Weligama Resort

In a small bay in the south of Sri Lanka, the boutique hotel Ayurvie Weligama Resort, opened in 2018, is the newest themed resort of the Connaissance Group. The Ayurveda Resort is set in bright and cheerful colors and is approximately a 2.5-hour transfer from Colombo Airport. Upon arrival you will receive a warm welcome and enjoy the first view of the Indian Ocean – settle in, switch off and look forward to your Ayurveda treatments incl. Yoga!

Already in the lobby you can see the attention to detail, which runs through the entire Ayurveda Resort. The 22 bright, spacious deluxe rooms have great sea views through floor-to-ceiling windows, and all have their own private balconies. Modern comfort and traditional furnishing elements in combination with the color concept, which is attuned to the three doshas, create an absolute feel-good atmosphere. For single travelers, there are 3 slightly smaller single rooms facing the green courtyard. A special living comfort with fantastic views can be enjoyed in one of the 4 suites of the Ayurvie Weligama Resort.

The triangular infinity pool of the Ayurveda resort is ideal for a refreshment, the cozy loungers invite you to linger. The offshore reef provides a calming of the bay and allows for a better swimming.

The Ayurveda team is led by a renowned doctor who with his colleagues and the professional therapist team provides for a first-class Ayurveda cure. After the first, extensive consultation, a classic panchakarma or a regeneration cure will be carried out according to your individual needs. Upon request, a German-speaking member of the guest services can help you with the translation during the doctor’s talks. In the relaxation rooms of the Ayurvedic area are facing the Indian Ocean, so you can enjoy the beneficial effects of the treatments as you listen to the sound of the waves.
Yoga and meditation take place twice daily on the top floor overlooking the ocean to help you with your Ayurveda treatment and the German-speaking yoga teacher provides extra security.

The Aahara Restaurant at the Ayurvie Weligama Resort serves Ayurvedic vegetarian cuisine and serves meals directly in the restaurant or alternatively on the terrace with pool view. The dishes are prepared according to dosha and the ingredients come in part from the organic cultivation of the Bimbarama temple garden, which is supported by the Ayurveda Resort. This support contributes to the preservation of the temple and a preschool.

The Bimbarama temple is of course also wonderful for a trip as well as the city of Galle. On a boat tour, you may be lucky enough to see the great whales that pass by on the south coast of Sri Lanka in the winter.

Deluxe Room (about 35 sqm)
The deluxe rooms are equipped with fan, safe, hair dryer, bathrobes, tea maker, mini herbal bar and air conditioning. This should only be used wisely and if it is compatible with your cure. The modern bathrooms have a rain shower. Furthermore, each room has a balcony facing the sea.

Junior Suites (about 69 sqm) & Master Suites (about 102 sqm or 123 sqm)
Apart from their size, the suites have a Jacuzzi and a home cinema system.
